Monica Mass is a teen girl who inherits her parents’ powers on her 16th birthday. Her parents, who are now divorced, are retired superheroes. Monica has a disdain for superheroes, finding the institution of superheroics too liberal. At first she hides her powers but then decides to exploit them as a way to get her parents back together...getting them to come out of retirement to train her. Of course, along the way she learns what it really means to have powers and grows to respect what the superpowered do. It’s a superpowered Dawson’s Creek but with a quirkier sense of humor. What's a good Republican girl to do?
Monica Mass lives in a cool world populated with flying saucers, maniac robots, mad scientists, talking gorillas, surly gods, dimension hoppers, two headed evil babies, hillbilly hitmen, giant ants, big lizards, sea monsters, time masters, 7 vastly different aliens each impossibly claiming to be from mars, fiends hopped up on martinis, offsprings of Satan, giant bird creatures, evil mimes, stage parents, secret organizations, and, of course, Ms. Sheena Easton.
